Yesterday was a sad day for me. Lost my BM Griptilian that I'd had for less than 2 months. Not really sure how it happened had it clipped to my pants pocket, but walking around a muddy jobsite some how it worked itself out.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Just picked up a new "travel" knife the Kershaw Skyline. http://www.kershawknives.com/product...&brand=kershaw
Got it for $30 on Amazon, I know it is not the super fancy knife I usually pick up, but it is stunning for a $30 knife. I highly recommend this knife to anyone.

Go to better kitchen supply stores, of chef supply (whatever they are called in your area) and buy Japanese water stones, they are not that expensive and work like a charm. Sushi chefs use them and I can't imagine a sharper edge than that. You can also buy them on Amazon last time I looked. Easy to use as well.

I threw some flashlights in for fun We have here a Kershaw Tanto Groove, Kershaw Junkyard dog II composite, Coast LED Lenser, Coast LED Lenser T7, and a Surefire 6P. I have to many flashlights and need to get rid of some I would trade for some cigars if anyone is interested

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
I just got one of those coast lensers for my car flash light. It puts out a sick amount of light. Might not even need my .45 just blind the fool with the light and kick em in the nuts.

You can use his techniques on any stone. If you don't want to spend the money on a quality stone, then you have 2 other options. Go get a $5 sharpener and be satisfied. Or send it out to be sharpened.
