Picked up some 3x5 2005 HU mag 46 at a steal. I was worried that they would not have aged well in cardboard. I'm happy to report that is not the case.
It started out really mild and bland, my heart sank. After an inch in, it picked up in strength and flavor and kept building for the rest of the smoke. Woody and nut with some tinge of floral notes. Got ridiculously strong for the finish.
Yummy

Thursday herf I lit up the Casa Fernandez Miami Anniversario. Next to it is the FUMARE La Grande Classe as it was next on deck but the Casa Fernandez satisfied me completely, or did it complete me?

Finally getting around to the Viaje Chicharrones Spicy out of a five pack I picked up when first released. This cigar is hitting all cylinders with me, WOW! Way better then the Original or yellow band one.

An Alec Bradley American Sun Grown and washing it down with an oatmeal stout. Not bad at outside while the kids are crazy inside.

CAO Italia robusto, 5x56. This was delightful after dinner with just water to accompany it. The construction was perfect, no soft spots but draw was open and easy. Dark wrapper with small veins and a slight toothy texture. This was sent to me by @dijit in a cigar forum exchange and I suspect it has rested for quite a while. The large ring gauge made for an effortless, cool smoke with the predominate flavor being a mix of dark and sweet chocolate, plenty of smoke production, and a silky smooth smoke sensation. I'm not experienced enough to pick up on any but the most obvious flavors. The burn was not razor sharp but was very good throughout with no touch ups needed. The flavor stayed with the chocolate throughout. When I removed the wrapper a piece of the wrapper came up but it smoked right through it without issue. Smoke time was just over an hour on my back porch, enjoyed while reading a book. Loved it.
