Re: Whats in your bowl?
Had a bowl of '00 Christmas Cheer in my Stanwell estate I just cleaned up. Not sure I like this year of CC. Lots of toasted earth flavor but not much else. Also got some tongue bite from it. This Stanwell has a pretty small bowl so I wonder if that played a part in that.

GLP Abingdon in a GBD bulldog and half a bowl of Savinelli Brunello Flake in a GBD made Tinderbox Bulldog. The theme was unintended but the smokes were great.

McClellands CPCC Samovar in the no-name bulldog. Simply a pleasant and smooth smoke. I opened this tin back in May 2015, and due to the design of the tin and lid, the blend has been kept in a somewhat moist stage. Wish more companies used this tin and lid style...

A bowl of Moonshine Pipe Co. XXX Blend in the Charatan Makes Perfection, while enjoying some tea, the hummingbirds, and the AFC Championship game on the radio

Re: Whats in your bowl?
Had my first bowl of Penzance in my Royal Danish tonight. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to appreciate the legendary tobacco not yet having fallen in love with English blends yet. However, this was one of the best bowls of pipe tobacco I've tried. It just tasted so balanced. The amount of Latakia in other English blends I've tried either wasn't enough or punched me it the mouth. This had the perfect amount for my taste. Just fantastic.
Thanks again to Matt who generously sent me a sample of this. Without it I'd have no way to try this until it comes back in stock. I guess I'm going to have to join the free for all now when it does.

Re: Whats in your bowl?
A bowl full of C&D Bayou Nights on the patio this morning with Twinings Earl Gray on the side. Great morning outside on the patio. 53* w/a slight breeze and listening to "Bill Handle on the Law" on AM640 KFI...
A great smoke Steve, and probably underrated if one does not peruse Boswell's web page

Rattrays Black VA in a Gresham Giant. Nice, mild but sweet tobacco taste.

Nice Mark. I've never had a Ratrays blend that I have not thoroughly enjoyed.
