I agree about the JJ Maduro Robusto. That is one damn fine cigar.
Currently smoking a La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial No. 3 (toro). Not too bad so far. |

A Indian Tabac Cameroon Robusto Grande. Not a bad smoke, but this is the 4th Indian Tabac cigar I've smoked and every one has either given me burn or draw problems. I'll give them a few more tries because I do enjoy their flavor.

I've had way too many Indian Tabac's that gave me draw problems. I have seen that a lot of people like them, but I never had any luck.

Tonight, in honor of my dad's birthday (he died 5 years ago) I had my first Don Pepin "My father". WOW what a GREAT smoke. Lots of spice, all the way through. Plenty of smoke. Great flavors, cinnimon, cedar, dark coffee. Money well spent!

I think I'm normal...

That is exactly what I was thinking about while I was smoking this cigar...was it bad? No not at all....but nothing memorable.

I smoked my first "Hellhound" from Avalon Cigars...
![]() Great draw, perfect burn and excellent medium flavor profile. Started mild and about 1/2 way the flavor started to come through - right up til I nubbed it! Check out their website, if for nothing else than the great wallpaper! ![]()

Today on the lake I had:
CAO Soprano associate. Very nice smoke. Nothing near the "Full" they describe it as, but I had already heard that from everyone. Very enjoyable, smooth, very flavorful. Hints of wood, nutmeg a little cinnimon. I liked this one. Also I had my first DPG JJ. VERY loose draw. Dry on the mouth and throat. Pretty nice flavors but lots of problems with this one. A large piece of wrapper flaked off at the head. I had to do a semi-Deepthroat to not draw loose air, in addition to the already super loose draw. The outer wrapper wanted to come unwrapped and a few cracks formed. This one must have had some bad storage before I received it. I have had it in my humidor for 6 weeks. Good enough flavors that I will try another one when given the chance. I have a JJ maduro just waiting to be toasted. Cant wait. |

Joya de Nicaragua Antano and a Nub Habano. Still can't quite get myself to like the Nubs much.
