Why not just make up a parts kit? It would be a lot cheaper.

Murphy's Law of Shootin' Irons says that when something breaks on a firearm you will NOT have the correct parts with you, and/or all the tools needed to do the repairs.

Seriously, from years of attending matches and other recreational shooting on road trips, that's been my experience. Heck it's even been known to happen closer to home. But never while at a store/range that had the exact part needed in stock.

Thats the beauty of my GLOCKS. Parts are ample, simple to replace, interchangeable between models.

Quite easy for me to have a small kit on stand by and know that I will have anything I need to fix it. Only tool needed is a small punch.

The slide or frame itself would literally have to break before I'm not able to fix it.

There is only a handful of parts you would even need to carry for a glock really.

I can't say enough about how much I love my Glock 21.
If it breaks, or I run out of ammo, just throw it at them and will likely kill them.

Here's a shot I made at 100 yards with my .357, of course I only hit it once out of 6 but it was still a good one

Nice group.

Did you find your first time at the range to result in an addiction?
I was instantly hooked.

Are you a recent transplant to Texas? I was under the impression that Texans were taught to shoot and BBQ before they learned how to talk.

I enjoyed it. I've always been kinda shy of guns because of the accidents that can happen. Especially since I have kids. I figured the best thing was to learn the proper way to handle a gun. I went with my friend who is a LEO so he could teach me the right way to handle a gun. The wifeis gonna come with me next time.

Very prudent decisions youre making here. I insisted that my wife get take the course and get her LTC. If we are going to have guns in the house, she needs to know how to use them... and feel comfortable doing so.
