Someone started a thread on porters recently. I picked up a 6er of the Edmund Fitzgerald based on recommendations there and really liked it. I went back to the store for more and they were out, so I bought a Great Lakes sampler pack, which had 3 of them in it. All of the rest of the beers were very good too.

One of my favorites: Jefferson Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout from the Bluegrass Brewery. And a Stonewall Stout from Blue Grey Brewery.

Try to find the Bourbon Barrel Heine Bros Coffee Stout. Awesome. Kind of like a lighter (7.5% abv) KBS. It's pricey at $12.99 a 750 but definitely worth trying. I had it at the brewpub but they just released the bottling. The label says Family Reserve and has a few people on it.

Used to hang out at Heine Bros. in Louisville on Bardstown years ago...would love to hunt down some of the beer.

If you or anyone is really interested I could pick one up and if you pay for the bottle and shipping I can ship it. Or we could maybe form a trade. Just let me know. My work got 1 case - not sure if we will get more or not.
