H. Up. Toro by A.J. Fernandez, much better than expected.

Because the FDA might wipe out future sales of cigar blends first made after 2007(?), some companies are reintroducing lines which existed before that. Miami Cigar Company has reincarnated the Nestor Miranda Special Selection. I'm smoking one of the toro size right now.
This new one is very good so far. Trouble is, can't remember the originals well enough to make a useful comparison.

Padron 3000 Maduro. It went quite well with some Dalwhinnie 15.

Nice!! How was it? I grabbed a sampler with a few of the Don Carlos and a couple Carlito wrappers and will smoke one of each over the course of my nearing vacation. (Leaving next Friday!)
Graycliff 30 Year Vintage Toro - still love these things, even with the occasional plugged stick because when you get a good one, it's worth it. Been harder to truly enjoy these lately, as I've been primarily smoking full bodied cigars and they can dull the senses for medium and under profiles. |

Smoking a Surrogate Animal Crakcer. Certainly seems like a larger RG then 50. Has a lot of burn issues but nothing too bad. First 1/3 was "meh" but with each 3rd it's getting better.

Not a huge Connecticut fan but I figured since this one's been in the humi for almost a decade I'd give it a go. This was my 1st cigar of the day and everything else I smoked after seemed pale in comparison.

AJF Encore Toro - pretty solid medium full, but these are incredibly flavorful. Pretty sure I'll be picking up a box in the future....and I know tastes are extremely subjective - but I could swear I taste blueberry every time I punch & cold draw one of these bad hombres. (Blueberry note always dissipates upon lighting, of course.) |
