That ump is a temporary call up from Triple A and is being used as a fill in for another real umpire who is on leave right now. He is just more proof that for the past several years the younger umpires have been becoming more confrontational and are seeking out excuses to get into beefs with players and coaches. They seem to think that the game is about them. Redmond, first ejection, Varitek, only the fourth ejection in his long career and the first since 2005. Makes you think.

David Ortiz makes me want to scratch my eyes out,
Between him and Lugo them two have cost us at least 6 games?
How much longer can this continue?

YUP!!

David Price (Rays) has a wicked fast ball (very respectfully) and Francisco Liriano should join that ump in triple A.

I was not impressed with Liriano last fall and not impressed with him this spring. I think he needs to go. He gives up one home run then falls apart. 47 pitches in the 3rd inning, sad, very sad.

It's funny, MN pitching last year was pretty good and batting suffered a little, this year it seems the opposite.

OH the intricate nuances of this game will have us all pulling our hair out.

Yeah, he's healthy. He seems to start the game out good then he just loses something, focus, who knows, and then his pitches are all over the place.

Well, Tito finally shook up the Sox lineup and they scored some runs! Lester was terrific too, 12 K's. Unfortunately it was too late to get anything more than one win in the Jays series and the Evil Empire is in first place .

On to Motor City, (at least they used to make cars there), tomorrow to try to tame the Tigers.

18 straight error less games for the Bombers (new MLB record), first place in the division a game ahead of the BlowSox, all is right in the world

Watching the wankyees suck all year is not as fun as watching them blow at the end

McLouth is going to make the Braves a little stronger..HUGE pick-up for Atlanta. makes you wonder if Pittsburgh is gonna stick with Nyjer Morgan (playing great) or bring up prized prospect Andrew McCuthen.

No doubt the white Sox must be hurting for pitching? Bringing a kid up to soon could ruin his confidence if he gets lit up it?
The other night the Red Sox faced the Tigers hot young stud pitcher Porcello, he got a welcome to the bigs

My Red Sox got a tuff stretch this next week, the Sox just swept the division leading Tigers on their home turf.
Now we have another division leader Texas Rangers coming in tonight with the Yanks Tuesday. We got some great games coming up in Old Fenway Park
