Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Wonderful! Well, hopefully all the different aromatics I'm trying while breaking in my new pipes won't totally futz up my learning curve about what I like and don't!

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
So I decided that I need another poker, so I went over to a local shop yesterday and picked up this nice Peterson poker. I love pipes that don't require a stand to set down. This will make a great pipe for working in the yard.
Edit: sorry for the picture quality, all I have is my phone.

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
It is an official peterson promotion. If your local shop is not doing it, www.smokingpipes.com is.

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Got all the stuff I need to start I think The pipe is a Missouri Meerschaum, don't know which one, but its the only one my B&M had, and since I buy cigars from them all the time, they cut me a great deal for 2 oz of their most popular blend I already smoked 2 bowls, and I'm getting better, I kept the 2nd bowl lit the whole time, but by the time I got good with the matches, I was down to 1 I am not used to the way pipe tobacco tastes, I know this is only one type, but I'm used to the mouth full of strongly flavored smoke like you get with cigars. This is a very interesting hobby, I'll definately be buying a decent quality pipe one I get good with the corn cob, not that its a bad pipe, I just need more pipe than one since my bowls are only lasting me 20 minutes or so. I'm also looking to try the flake type of tobacco I think is what it is, since it looks like it would be much easier since its not all loose and stuff. |
