Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Picked up a bottle of 1792 Bottled in Bond last week, they had it hidden behind the counter but it wasn't marked up like a lot of things in the store. First pour last week thought it was just ok, but a second pour last night was really tasty, more flavorful and "juicy" than the other 1792's I've had. Juicy isn't the right word, but it had an attribute that reminded me of the 1920, almost like as you are taking a sip the air from your glass hits your tongue in a nice way. My favorite 1792 so far (other than maybe the sweet wheat, but I've only had one pour of that amidst many stronger things)

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
First bottle of Booker's I ever bought bit the dust last night. Next Ham up!
Followed it up with some Kentucky bourbon via Tejas.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Got to try that Dickel BiB. Seems that I prefer it with an ice cube, to settle it down a bit, but it is a very nice drink. I sipped that along with a Partagas from the motherland today. I have had the stick maturing in my humility for several years (as with all my out of state sticks). This too was awesome. Now only if some of this humidity would blow out of here, life would be almost perfect.

Tony's good peoples
Had a few pours over the weekend, ended with cracking a new bottle of Smoke Wagon Uncut / Unfiltered. Really enjoyed it, hard to get a good profile on the first pour of the bottle but the proof (113.76) is right in my sweet spot

I’ve heard good things about smoke wagon. Good barrels of MGP stuff always hits the spot.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Took a trip up to WY on Saturday to try to score some stuff we can't get in Denver, heard the stores are getting flooded by CO people but figured I'd try anyways. Did manage to grab the last bottle of OWA from one store, which was really the one thing that I wanted, and got an ECBP B520, Old Tub and an old bottle of Wild Turkey KS. I was up there first thing in the morning, when I eventually got back I checked FB and somebody from CO was up there after me literally taking pictures of the shelf at every store in the town. No wonder the store owners hate CO shoppers. I did get a chuckle out of see the empty OWA slot at the shop I got mine

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Did you go with Peter, Ben, I know he gets up there for bourbon occasionally?
At the gathering for our friend on Friday, I had a few pours including Old Ezra & (yum) and Heaven's Door (meh). Got the hankering for OE7 at home again last night.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
No but I got his list of spots. The only one from his list that's really a secret since it's off the highway on the way up I struck out on, the rest are just the biggest shops in Cheyenne. Funny enough the place that had $700 Lot B and $900 WLW also had the cheapest ECBP ($63) and loads of other decent stuff cheap ($33 ER but I've already bought too many MSRP bottles of that recently). It's clear that all the shops talk about the CO guys, everybody had WSR on the shelves for $40-50 but most other things were MSRP
