Re: What's the last movie you watched?
The Punisher character was great, but the plot and Jigsaw were a bit of a letdown. The way they portrayed Jigsaw he might as well been in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sequel.

This was a movie-watching weekend:
Whiteout The Boys are Back The Hurt Locker on DVD, and then took the wife to Avatar for V-Day.

Avatar at an Imax. Pretty good, the colonel was spot on with his character, a little bit to the left for me but still good.

Re: What's the last movie you watched?
I actually have seen most of his stuff. He generally skips around, but ends up filling in the blanks as the movie progresses. A lot of unfilled spaces left in the "Basterds" film. No explanations for the missing links between many of the scenes. That part isn't what I've noticed in other past Tarantino movies.

Just finished watching Serenity on SyFy...just remembered how much I enjoy this movie and need to buy this and Firefly... In case you don't know Firefly is the story before Serenity that was sadly cancelled by FOX after it's first season...

Watching the remake of "Taking of Pelham 1-2-3". The shootout with Travolta's 2 partners near the end was the most ridculous crossfire situation I have ever seen. Would have been a lot of dead cops if it had gone down that way...gotta love the movies.

Re: What's the last movie you watched?
I also watched The Taking of Pelham 123 last night. It was eh, nothing great, but I did think Travolta's character was very believable. I like him as a bad guy though, so I'm biased.

He does play the villains well. He was believable, that shoot out in the streets was not.

Saw a double feature: Pitfall & Larceny at the Seattle Noir Festival (http://www.siff.net/cinema/seriesDetail.aspx?FID=184). Neither of these films are available on DVD and Larceny was a spectacular new print.
