Re: What beers are you enjoying?
A couple of Guinness pints to watch Bruins suck-ass last night. A token fight then their tail beaten the legs for the next two hours. Even a silver platter couldn't help them. So pathetic.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I'm a big Stout guy. Samuel Smith Oatmeal and Imperial are my favorites but I have to say that last night the Sam Adams Cream Stout made it on my list of faves.

Last night had a couple of Sam Adams Noble Pils, tonight I will try out the Kelpie Seaweed Ale. I am curious how that ale is going to taste.

Had a Summit India-style Rye earlier. Now having a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. I love this stuff. I think I'm going to buy a 6 pack to age 'til next winter. Should be lovely for the Holidays.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I picked up a case of this last week to age. Right now to me it seems more like a DIPA than a barleywine, the hops are pretty aggresive. I like it a lot, but will probably like it more once it balances out some.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Went to a small beer festival yesterday that had over 120 different beers. About 75 percent of them were from micro or craft brewers. Hat's off to Billy's Chilies - you actually smell the pepper, taste the pepper and feel a twinge of heat. Pike's Brewery from Seattle also had some interesting brews - Kilt Lifter and the Extra Stout. Brother Theloneus Dubbel, Psychic and some others. Now I just have to remember where I left my tasting notes...
Oh! I also enjoyed a Cain Maduro while sampling the beer.

Sam Adams Imperial White.
Meh. It was in the fridge taking up space, so it had to be drunk. It was.........average. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, just nothing about it made me think I'd buy it again. |

Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest I found tucked away in the back of the fridge. I remember why I hid it away now, wasn't terribly good
