Their books take about 1/2 way through to really get going but once they finally take off, the book is hard to put down.

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich - it is excellent so far.

It's a trilogy, if you liked this one read the other two.

Bracken has a fourth book, Castigo Cay, not connected to the previous story and not as good but still a good read.

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. I recommend to anyone especially if you like/live near the appalachian trail

These books go fast when I read them while smoking cigars.

The Cleanest Race: How North Koreans See Themselves and Why It Matters

It's a little more "scholarly" than I expected (foot notes and all), but it's really interesting.
