Piccadilly. I usually don't smoke in the morning before class but this is really nice, I hope it doesn't force to me class today.

Hal O' th Wynd in a Sasieni 4dot bulldog. i mistakenly thought i had HOtW open every so often when it was Old Gowrie. now that i have them open, side-by-side, there's a definite flavor difference that i'll never mistake the one for the other again. i prefer HOtW due to the sweetness of the VAs that comes through more.

I didn't like HOTW much because I thought it was a bit bland. Old Gowrie is a bit more "edgie" and complex to me and I like it better.

really?
i'll do a real side-by-side comparison. i think OG just seems a little more dusky, dry, and straw-like. i got more sweetness out of HOtW.
i doubt it was simply from cleaning my pipes over the weekend.

We have different tastes i guess. It would be interesting to do a blind review of these two with a couple people.

I'm not sure what I want to fill my Neerup with yet. I just woke up and hadn't thought about it.

I really want to crack open a new tin but feel I have way too many open at the moment. Thinking about it now I'll go fer the last of my 2002 of McClelland No. 22 Virginia!
That was the first tobacco I ever smoked in my Neerup so I might as well finish the tin with it!

Cheers!

Was able to have some Owl Sharp Mr. Green's Mixture in the Savinelli last night. Not bad, but needs to be smoked slowly.

funny, someone asked me that earlier today.

i prefer Fillmore.
to me, Fillmore is sweeter (although it can hard to find it with all that Perique in your face). they are about even on Perique strength, with Fillmore being stronger, if i remember correctly. just that Telegraph Hill seems more 1 dimensional, where Fillmore has an underlying sweetness that you find as you get use to the blend. first time smokers of fillmore can't seem to get past the power of the perique (similar how i am to heavy latakia blends, that's all i taste is the latakia). i need to stock up on more Fillmore.

you want a bowl or three's worth of Telegraph Hill - PM me your addy.

Had the same thing today for lunch and then reloaded a half bowl of Butera Dark Stove. This is my first time trying it (my cigar shop has sample containers). So far, it's got quite a kick.
