At work, but watching on my phone. Good game so far. A little of everything.

Crap nice meltdown. Two goals in 29 seconds.

Slow start to many turnovers. Neimi had a great game.

He is a helluva player for 18, but he was offside on the tying goal. That's on the linesmen, my buddy Andy McElman.

Good to get 1 point after being down 3-1 with a minute left in the 2nd.

I thought that as well, when it was happening... Never even watched a replay...did that confirm it?

It did, E.J., but it awfully close, I can see how Andy missed it. Regardless, that kid is going to be a star. I just dropped Cam Fowler for him in my fantasy league.

P.S.....Nugent-Hopkins may give him a little competition for the Calder, though.

I think they have plenty of talent at forward to do it. Defense, and Varlamov's consistency, will end up telling the tale one way or the other.

Don't jump just yet. You're very early into the hangover. About 20 games in you'll probably be writing death threats to the GM. By 50 games in the fog might start to clear and if you're lucky they'll make the playoffs.

They likely won't get crazy wanting to blow things up until the offseason.

P.S. This is not a slight on the Bs, but a generalization about any cup winning team that hasn't won it in a long time. This funk is what makes being back-to-back champs such an amazing feat.

Yup.

Hawks didn't make it until the last game of the season last year, and only because another team lost that night.

No. The sky is falling. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh its the zombie apocalypse.
Hide yo kids hide yo husbands, cause they rapen everyone up in here.

Hope Sharks continue winning.

Side note. It is pathetic the support the Stars are getting. They are playing well and that arena is a ghost town. It reminds me of Tampa and Florida in year past. Horrible.

I saw the crowd in Phoenix when the Hawks (who are usually a good "out of town team" draw) were there, and it ws pathetic. My guess is that franchise will move within the next couple years, regardless of politics.
