If they are like any other company or government agency, the interviews might take place before Christmas. To assume there is a chance for an interview next week is setting yourself up for disappointment.

Its wishful thinking on my part that it would take place that early but you never know.

I applied for a federal job that closed in early Oct, didn't interview until right before Thanksgiving. Maybe state won't be so bad
