Wow ... you gotta love it!

Thought the Cards were toast in the first inning. After Jackson finally got an out, he pitched a heck of a game. After all my "bad-mouthing" the bullpen, they get a lot of the credit for both of our wins.

The highlight of the game for me was Pujols nailing Utley at third in the sixth. That's one of those golden defensive plays that will stick in my memory. Wow ... just wow.

It pains me to say it, but congrats to the Cards and their fans. Not the way I expected the season to end for my Phils.

Carpenter had a sick game last night. For some reason before the game I had a feeling the Cards were going to pull it out.

It was an awesome game, 1 run in the 1st that's it. If Halliday was settled coming in or if they were at St Louis and he pitched in the bottom who knows. After that it was 3 up and down the rest of the game. I think it took at least a week off of my heart watching it

Now on to the Brew Crew, Happy Flight

Looks like two teams from that "weak" Central Division will be the ones who will battle it out for the pennant. Go Cards!

I missed everything past the 5th inning, but looks like the Machine and the boys had a great game. Ever heard of a hot collared mule? That's St Louis. Happy flight!

Very true. The Brew Crew is playing like they want to give it up tonight 3 major errors so far, and would be several more if it was not for Fielder.

The Crew sort of reminded me of the 06 Series Tigers tonight. It would have been a very different game without those 4 errors. But, hey, a win is a win.

What I can't figure out is the bullpen. Tony has been quick with the hook throughout the NLCS. Is the bullpen just better than I thought? Or, has Tony just figured out how to use them against the Brewers? Or, maybe having Duncan back makes the difference?

I watch a lot of MLB Network and Harold Reynolds always impresses me with his pitcher v. batter matchup analysis. Tonight, he looked at Dotel v. Braun. When Dotel last faced him, in Game 3 I think, he got him on a diet of curve balls. Tonight, Braun didn't see a curve ball until the last one for strike 3 ... he hung that one but Braun couldn't connect. Love that cat and mouse strategy stuff. But, it tells me something about game preparation with the bullpen.

wow what a game last night the cars really used our errors to their advantage, and tony sure does use some strat guess we'll see how many games are played in Milwaukee.
