In this society, you should be able to charge what you want for your products. Supply and demand will actually dictate what you are able to get for it. It should be fairly easy to get opus at MSRP or at least pretty close. Now, if you HAVE to have an unopened box, then you might pay a premium for it, but the supply is not low enough for a box to command an $800 price tag. Still, someone might want it bad enough to pay that for it. I think that is what this particular retailer is hoping for.

someone has to be paying those prices... if not the retailer couldn't possibly stay in business ... just open a spot next to them for half the price!!!

Fuente used to price protect with their authorized sellers. Much of the market in the Opus and Anejo lines is grey market and Fuente can't do anything about that.
