It really can't be described...
The EYH (Epic Ybor Herf) just ended and the brotherhood, the friendship, the comradere that was in the air was almost mystical. It really can't be described........
But the union that brought old & young, newbie and veteran smokers, black, white, and asian, nc lovers and non cc lovers, short or tall, skinny or fat, rich or broke, etc. together is what this community is all about. And the 'bond' is powerful yet it really can't be described.

The online community is cool.
But to herf together like that is what it's all about. That is why you will find that many, like me, will travel cross country for larger herfs.

You're right. It really cannot be described. One must attend and experience it for themselves to know the feeling you mention.
It is awesome though.

I agree Scott, it was simply incredible. Every time I go to a herf the 'bond' amazes me. Hopefully there are many more to come!

That's cuz they are ghostly entities that don't exist in the physical form.

Sounds like a good idea Peter. Don't base your decision not to go solely on Don, lots of good guys to meet over there. Sometimes you gotta take the bad with the good. Last edited by ahc4353; 11-17-2008 at 10:25 AM. |

Re: It really can't be described...
This guy would not take a cuban cigar from me. I tried to take care of him though for the great event he put together.
Despite the quote above, some of us do like cuban cigars, a couple were passed around. Just a couple. Just FYI, for those thinking about coming next year. I had an amazing time at my first Herf. Thanks to Scott and Russ for all the planning and hospitality. And all the fellow smokers that made it EPIC! |
