Personal Achievement
I'm not the type to flaunt my accomplishments but today I am feeling very proud of something I set out to do and wanted to share.
Today marked the last day of the first part of the US Border Patrol Academy and I am set to graduate on Monday with 21 other classmates. This was the most difficult thing I had ever attempted in my life. It was challenging physically but even more so mentally. The amount of information we had to learn in 55 days was very intense and at times extremely overwhelming. We had applied authority classes, naturalization, and immigration law classes, driving, shooting, arrest techniques, offensive and defensive techniques, survival swimming, first aid and CPR, as well as a few other odds and ends classes that pertained to the job. We also had to get OC sprayed which was the worst pain I had ever felt in my life. Each day was a challenge and feel extremely lucky to have made it through especially after having rolled my ankle severely on the second week of physical training. Now for 9 weeks of learning Spanish.

Re: Personal Achievement
Congrats on passing the first phase.
Good luck with the Spanish I took 3 years of it and all I leaned how to say was Cerveza y albondigas and Mi Gusta Bonitas chicas. I figured everything else was above and beyond the scope of any conversation I wold be having. |

Congrats and don't worry about the spanish. Look at it this way. December and January are better months to be at Glynco than July and August. Sandflies. ugh.
Let me how you like your rooms tv once you get there.

They have us here in Artesia, NM we do Spanish at the same place we did basic. Our TV is from probably 1990 and all the peoples faces are a nice orange tint no matter how much I mess with the settings.
