Re: 65% RH or 70% RH - Which to Choose?
Great post Mark!
I started with NO humidication, then soaking wet cotton balls in a drafty cigar box then PG solution, 70% beads... It took me awhile but thanks to you guys I'm at 65% and could not be happier |

65% for me. Early in the game, thankfully I found a cigar board where most of you older and wiser guys were posting and it seemed like 65% was where most of you guys liked it, so if it was good enough for you it was good enough for me.

Re: 65% RH or 70% RH - Which to Choose?
I use the 70% beads and have not had any problems in several years. I think that what really matters is where you live and the humidity levels in your area. Where I live it is rather dry, so with 70% Heartfelt beads it stays between 65% and 70% in my vino.

Re: 65% RH or 70% RH - Which to Choose?
Yeah, Florida really makes it difficult...I have a constant battle to try and keep things under 68%...and if I take out a humidifier jar to try and get things lower then it dips too low...

65% for me and I do keep a 60% dry box going for a few particular hand rolled sticks that I know are always to wet

68-70% for me (beads are rated 70% but the RH ranges between 68 and 70. I very seldom have draw issues or burn problems. Until I do, dont fix what aint broke. That said, I have 65% beads lying around if I ever decide to lower.
