You could always go to the Salvation store, we found so many cheap things. My friends and I dressed up as Richard Simmons a few years back.

I think both the Secret Service and the Verizon network are great ideas, especially if you have a large group.
Few years ago my ex-wife and I went as Paris and Nicole. I was thinking of going as a bald guy from connecticut this year...

you could go as the "sheet" family....
get sheets (white and cheap) then each person paints a word on them... bull horse fulla big little... etc. etc. you get the picture

Very funny costume I saw when in Key West a couple of years ago. Group of 6, three guys, three girls. Girls were all done up as pumpkins. It was fantasy fest, so they were done up in body paint, but you can do fabric if you are so inclined, with green hats, green shoes and orange tights/leggings. Guys were done up in the same way, but with white t-shirts that said "Peter, Peter" on them. I have a pic, but as it's NSFW, I won't post on open forum. I'll host it somewhere when I get home tonight and post a link.
