I used to basically smoke only maduros but lately I have really learned to appreciate lighter stix as well. That's a little backwards but that's alright.

I sometimes judge a cigar by it's label/brand. I just totally write off cigars of certain marca's based on past bad experiences with them. The BTT thread is a great way to overcome this and I recommend it to anyone who has the same prejudice.
However, there is no saving grace for Gurkha. ![]()

I don't like Oliva Vs or V maduros.
Fuente Hemis taste like dirt. Fuente Green labels taste like sour dirt. I wouldn't buy Opus X if they were $5/stick. I have yet to smoke a Padron that wows me. Over half of the cigars I smoke cost under $3 each. The rest cost under $9 each. The 2 CCs I smoke the most of are: RyJ #2 tubos and La Flor de Cano Selectos. I will never buy a dress box of CCs again. I won't drink anything other than water when I smoke a cigar.

![]() Too many bad experiences, especially when comparing the dress box version to the cab version of the "same" cigar. Best examples from my experience are RASS, RyJ Exhibicion #4 and ERDM Choix Supreme. Cabs are incredible. Dress boxes? You couldn't convince me it's the same cigar. Also never gotten a cab (or box of tubos) with mold on them. I've gotten plenty of dress boxes with mold though. A few so bad I sent them back. And most of the plugged sticks I've gotten are from dress boxes.

Wow. How curious. Thanks for sharing your experiences. That's really bizarre.

Hmmm where should I start?
My first favorite cigar was an Acid Kuba Kuba. I don't like Opus X, I think Anejo's are much better. There are cigars I won't try simply because of the name and what I've read about them, closed minded I know, but I can't help it. I like the Tat red's over the Tat browns. I don't like the Illusione Epernay. I am a maduro fiend and will smoke a no name maduro over a premuim name natural. Based on the few CC's I've had, I'm not impressed. |

I must confess that my wallet would get a TON smaller if all these people that claim to not like OPUS X sold me their supplies!
I also must confess that even though 80% of Rocky's stuff is mediocre at best, the other 20% are some of my faves. |
