Very nice. I'm already with Verizon and I love their service! It has never failed me like T-Mobile and AT&T have in the past. I'm going to check these out!

The only thing I cant STAND about Vzw is how they lock down their phones. Thats a huge mark against them for me. I know that on some phones there are workarounds, but I'd rather go with something that doesn't mind giving me some freedom.

I just picked up the new G1 after years with Blackberry. I was using it as my backup phone, but after 12 hours, I called up Tmo and told them to drop my Blackberry as I was convinved the G1 was good enough for me. It gets better and better every day and best of all the apps are free.

ITS OFFICIAL!

official date and official pricing:

Available November 21st everywhere (online and in stores)
199.00 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate with a 2 year contract

great pricing, but i decided to go with the bold and ATT this weekend. i think Verizon is just as good, but my experience with ATT and the service i get in the VA/DC area is fantastic. plus the Bold is just gorgeous and i wanna play around with it for awhile. but once the Storm comes to AT&T i'll definitely get it

Just put $50 down for the Best Buy pre-order. $600 for being not eligible to upgrade.

I used to work at RIM and still have many friends that work there. I've used the Storm and have a Bold right now. I like the large screen and slick interface of the storm, but I type often and fast with my Blackberry, and the storms screen just doesn't allow of the kind of email volume I have. I typically type about 50-100 emails a day from my BB and I found the click screen difficult to type on at speed. Better than an iPhone, but not the same as a dedicated keyboard.

Bottom line, if I didn't type lots of email I'd get the Storm. The screen is sexy and interface slick, but because I'm an email fiend, I need a keyboard and the Bold works great.

Keep me posted too please! I've had a Treo 700p (actually my 2nd) after going through 4 sh!tty Treo 650p's, all in a 2-year span. So many problems with the Treo but I like the funcionality a lot so I've stayed with it. My current 700p is 'okay' but it often sticks & I have to wait for long period of times to get it to unfreeze (happens a lot when texting, I've noticed).

I'm with Dustin (LasciviousXXX)....VZ coverage is great near me and I abhore AT&T. I almost pulled the trigger on the Blackberry Pearl but have heard mixed reviews.

And I too wanted an iPhone but I hear there are some things about it (like the inability to cut & paste) that would drive me nuts.

So, I'd love to find out how the Storm stacks up against the iPhone....

word, that's what i've been telling most people but the majority will sacrifice speed for the "coolness" factor. i'm pretty quick with my pearl keypad. faster than most with a full one.

Yeah I agree... the cool points are high on the storm and that is the reason I am sold!

I love/hate my pearl right now... I am damn fast typing on it, but I absolutely hate the damn trackball that always has issues... that is the main reason I want a storm... no more damn ball to get ruined and not work right...

I love my Curve and have been thinking about the Storm but I type with my nails and the touch screen is hard for me to use. Tried the Iphone and it didn't work for me. Now do I cut my nails just to get a new phone??

Maybe... I have to keep taking mine apart and get all the lint out of it... the trackball is a bit small for the socket that it sits in and collects lots of dust... this builds up and stops it from working... right now it doesn't track up or right... so It needs to be cleaned again, but I just don't care anymore since I am leaving Tmo and that gay gay pearl come friday!
