Props to South Carolina for playing a very solid defensive game, they made a good quarterback look bad. I hope Moe Brown is ok (and based on what I've heard he is), never good to see a player get knocked out like that. WOW at Mark Ingram, he had 269 total yards and played better than the stat line shows (as hard as that is to believe). It was amazing to watch him put the game on his back that last scoring drive. Marquis Johnson also played lights out, SC kept trying to pick on him and he'd bat the ball down every time, would have had an INT in the endzone if not for a flagrant offensive pass interference call that wasn't called. Bama's D played lights out as a whole, if it wasn't for playing soft on that last drive they would have held SC to less yards than Ingram had (as it was SC outgained Ingram by 9 yards). |

Florida was fortunate to get the win. Kudos to Arkansas' defsnsive line, they were a force.

No doubt there were two poor calls on the Florida touchdown drive, and that helped them. They needed it too, because they certainly didn't help themselves with all the fumbles. Again, I must say how impressed I was with Arkansas' defensive line, they were amazing, especially in the first half.

Florida #1 in the new Coaches poll, Bama #1 in the AP. Not only could the SEC champ game be 2 undefeateds, it could be #1 vs #1 lol (still alot of the season left to play, not getting ahead of myself just saying that would be interesting).

that would be an awesome testiment to the supremacy of the SEC.
although i'm sure all Bama fans would agree. i'm not interested in bronze trophies or paper trophies, i want SEC trophies and crystal ball trophies!! ![]()

Personally, and this is no shock, I think Alabama should be number one in both polls. But I am disgruntled. Some reasonable reasoning suggests that they are virtually unchanged from their championship roster, They have not lost a game, so they should not lose their ranking. But based on who they have played and how they have performed, I give the edge to Alabama. But the coaches poll is voted on by not only people who don't want TX to come too far up should some whisper of blight be cast on a SEC team, but by people who generally do not see as much football as the AP pollsters do. They vote what they hear and what they catch on sportscenter. They are busy playing games and during the week, planning for games. I believe the AP alot more. Alabama is No.1. Still not sure of who is the best team, but I do not like the way FLA plays. Something stinks about both how things happen in games and how things are perceived by the officials, or so it seems to the non-FLA viewer. |

Florida is hands down the number one team in the league...They have played the whole season at number 1 and will continue until and if they ever loose. I dont know how or why people think Bama should be number one? Who have they played?
They have played V Tech..A Decent opponent in Ole Miss, and Decent South Carolina? Florida played The Same Decent opponents and went to LSU and Beat the tigers at Home If Florida is healthy and they both Match Up in the SEC Title Game you will see why Florida is superior. Bama can put no points up on the board..There offense only put up 13 against South Carolina...South Carolina has a terrible offense, and they were within 1 TD the whole game? Think about how much UF's offense is better, how many different ways they can score.. Yes Bama will put the game on Ingrams shoulders and give him 30 carries against UF, but that still won't be enough. They have no explosive players(Julio Jones can't get the ball) and are too one dimensional

23-13 over Tennessee 41-7 over Kentucky 13-3 over LSU 23-20 over Arkansas Bama vs BCs opponents: 34-24 over Va Tech 35-7 over Arkansas 38-20 over Kentucky 22-3 over Ole Miss 20-6 over South Carolina Neither team is clearly number 1, most people seem to say that bama has played better this year but Florida started number 1 and shouldn't fall till they lose. Arguments can be made either way. Bama has played a bit better schedule to this point than Florida imo and will have the better schedule by the end due to the east being way down this year and VaTech being a better OOC opponent than Florida State. Have you watched a Florida game this year? They are doing what it takes to win but they don't look like the same dominating team they have been when playing SEC opponents (see LSU, TN and ARK games). Last week you were saying SC would win and had bama's number and now bama is not impressive because they only beat SC by 2 touchdowns? SC has a great defense and is a Top 25 team. FL barely beat an unranked (but good) Arkansas team that Bama absolutely destroyed. I have no problem with people voting FL #1 but to suggest that they have clearly been more impressive than Bama this year is laughable imo. |

David: I Still Don't Think Fl. Is as good This Year as Last Year. They don't have Percy Harvin anymore, and I Think BAMA's Receivers are better than Florida's. Tebow is Obviously The Best Quarterback in College FB, today, and He Makes Florida's Team. We Beat Arkansas by a much larger margin than Florida did. I Think BAMA's Defense is Just as good as Florida's, and, "If" BAMA gets to Play Fl. in the SEC Championship, I Think They will keep it Close.

![]() ![]() ![]() And they won the game in Baton Rouge, they didn't BEAT anybody. They survived LSU. ![]() But I would agree that the only settlin' it is gonna be in Atlanta, and then one is still gonna feel ripped off after that. I like Alabama, but more cause they are my backup team and I hate Florida. They are under-skilled in almost every area compared to florida, but I like what Saban does with talent more. Look at what he had at QB over a few years at LSU, no one who went on to be thought of as great. He won two champs with three different, variously under-skilled QBs. |
