If you like music....this is amazing
Below is a link to one of the best pieces of sound engineering work I think I have ever seen.
It is a composite audio/video of song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and musicians from different places around the world. The finished product is tremendous! "Stand by Me" is the title of a song performed by Ben E. King and written by Ben E. King, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The song is inspired by a traditional Gospel song of the same name, originally composed by Charles A. Tindley in 1905, and recorded by numerous artists, including a 1955 version by The Staple Singers. Leiber and Stoller gave it a more contemporary sound. Since its release, there have been many cover versions of the song, though none have achieved the fame of the original. This composite version is a real toe tapper. http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2539741 |

Awesome, thanks for that!
We just came back from the New Orleans Jazz Fest and that guy at the beginning of the clip (with the white beard; he's blind) was sitting out on Royal the day we left to come back home. We also saw one of the bands at the Fest play 'Stand by Me'...I think it was the Dixie Cups. They and everybody else there were great! |
