Default Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?

Finally tracked down my manager before the holidays its $350 not $500, he said he wasn't sure what the price was and thought it would be around $500. I didn't give him the money for it. I'm just ordering it myself. www.beyondtherack.com. I signed up, it's free, and the sale ends tomorrow at Noon.

Here's the link to the exact watch. http://www.beyondtherack.com/event/sku/667/BUL26C04

Seems like a good place to post this... I've got the bug for a celestial calendar watch. Something with a true celestial complication, i.e. moving Milky Way. I'm a big fan of Patek, but this one is a little bit out of my price range. Looking for something similar, but would like to save a few hundred thousand.

Has anyone come across any other brands making this complication?

Moonphase and tide counter are about the best you'll do without getting too expensive.

Larry- Good for you, that's a nice watch! Mido is for someone who really appreciates watch making over fancy ads and prestige. That's a good watch for $300. I love their dive watches and have been close to buying one several times.

Its called a Seiko Black Monster

You can find em on sale at worldofwatches right now on rubber.

The band is called a watchadoo and can be found on Ebay as well as other watch sites. There is another brand that looks almost the same but has curved end links to mate better with the watch case. I'm leaning toward that. Its a 20mm lug width.

SPOT ON< SPOT ON!!!! That is exactly what i was going to write.

the orange monster is hard to come by too, and i believe it can be had for 140.00 on W.O.W... and i believe the watchadoo will run you about 45-50... so yeah, you could have that setup with the rare orange face for sub 200.00

Has someone fabricated endlinks for this watch/bracelet combo? That's what would really complete this watch.

That bracelet is very similar to the jubilee bracelet. I know you can buy the Seiko 007X/007K with that bracelet.
