My wife watches American Idol
I watched a bit tonight. The judges seem to like new interpretations of songs. It make me think of a couple that I thought were spectacular.
Janis Joplin sings the Bee Gees http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkGUt...eature=related Nina Simone sings Steppenwolf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQvNF...eature=related Not in the same vein, but old Canucks might remember Jane Vasey from Downchild Blues band. Another girl that left way, way too young. God I wish I had a video cam back then -- this girl was something else. I saw Downchild more than any other band ever ... they kicked a$$!
