Default NZ mega herf trip report

Just flew back to the US (and boy are my arms tired!) from the 2009 NZ mega herf, attended by Kiwi Michelle and myself.

Short story: it was so fun, we did it again the next weekend at KM's house in the country.

Man, NZ is a cool place and we had a killer time. Spent the first weekend with Michelle and family at a resort in the main Maori region on Lake Rotorua. Killer time had by all and KM bombed me with RS12s and then some! I brought a good selection of stuff as well, including some regionals, to share. Drank a lot, smoked a lot, and overall had a great time. During the week, we played tourist and then caught up with KM and family at their very wonderful home north of Auckland. Smoked and skype'd (you know who you are) and had a blast before some amazing BBQ and a great Rugby League match (NZ won!).

After a killer brekky, we headed up to the Bay of Islands to stay in a nice resort that KM arranged for us. What a beautiful place with some great eateries!

But alas, it was all over too soon. I recommend NZ as a killer vacation spot and KM as a killer herf companion. We had so much fun that I want to do it again next week.

Rumors of too much chartreuse are just that. You can't really have too much of that ... or xuxu ... or any of the other exotic liquors we were plied with.

Thanks again, Michelle. The memories will warm my heart for a lifetime.

So glad you guys had a good time. It was only a shame that the recession hit and more people couldn't have made it over to experience all the great things this little country offers.
Although it wouldn't have felt much like a recession to you when you get twice the money in NZ dollars!!

It was great to meet you (finally) and are more than welcome back to Casa Kiwi Michelle at any time.

p.s. have to agree with you about the beef!! Ken did good!
