Is anyone else sick of politics?
Ok, we all know that every word out of everyone involved is full of chit. They all make promises they don't and can't keep, yet people cheer, and nod their heads. All the candidates have been talking about reform for years, and we get the same old crap. From local elections to State, to federal, they are all the frickin same...just keep electing me... I will tell you whatever the hell you want to hear. How the HELL do some of these folks get re-elected year after year... you know... these life time politicians. Don't they ever look in the mirror? If the government, state, and federal, were a business, they would all get the damn axe! I am so sick of paying more than 33% of my wages for crap programs, that pander to the people that keep voting these guys into office... damn.... I'm going to have an anyorism...

I am sick of hearing John Mccain saying the word my friends. Drives me insane.

What gets me is all the people who come to my home to pimp their candidate. We have a sign over our door that reads:

Re: Is anyone else sick of politics?
When people bring the topic up with me, I just babble about something completely unrelated.
It's all I can do to stay sane anymore. One of my class mates asked if I like Obama and I said "God damn right Waffles are great!" He stared and I just asked him if he's into a lot of syrup or fruit on his. He got the hint quickly lol. |

Re: Is anyone else sick of politics?
I used to work at the State Capitol in Connecticut for many years and I'm the Registrar of Voters in my town and serve on a couple of locally elected boards and I'm a campaign manager/treasurer for a guy who is seeking reelection as a State Rep. While I still find it all very "interesting," I'm not as excited about the whole world of politics as I used to be. Yes, there are some not so good politicians out there but believe it or not, there are some very good ones too.
I'd rather just come here to talk about cigars and leave the political discussions to the hundreds of amateur political boards out there (I avoid those like the plague, LOL!) and I'm very much looking forward to November FIFTH when it will all be over...... |
