Default Hawkestone, Ontario questions

Greetings to you my northern friends.

I will be in the Hawkestone area of Ontario this summer, July 29-Aug. 1.

Can one of you suggest a good lake to fish in the Hawkestone area (will be bringing small, 14' fishing boat with a small motor - so not a huge lake), or a possible guide?

Who would be interested in getting together for...
fishing & cigars?
meal & cigars?

Will be there with my wife's extended family for vacation, so might have one or two others join us (or not). Or, it might be tough to get away too far.

You can reply here, or reply via pm.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Well.... Hawkestone is on the shore of Lake Simcoe. A little south of there, heading towards Barrie is Shanty Bay area. It was good for me a number of years ago, haven't been lately.

Lake Simcoe is good for ice fishing...usually have good luck. Not so sure about summer time but if the fish are there under ice they are surely there in the summer

Nice information on the Lake, thanks.

Anybody going to be around and willing to possibly get together for a smoke?
