Note taking method for you?

I've been trying out a note taking, freeware program called FreePlane. You can adapt it to your needs as you like. You can add nodes at will. You can link to web pages or local files. It might just work!

FreeMind is good as well, good for Information Architecture, workflow, etc., and there is a very robust free version all well.

FreePlane is related to FreeMind. Maybe the programmers got mad at each other or something. The files seem compatible.

As far as a note taking platform that syncs well among devices and is easy to share among people, I have moved over to Microsoft's Onenote.
