Default Fennel tea

I have gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. My LES (lower esophageal sphincter) doesn't close completely and I get stomach contents back into my throat if I lay down when I have stomach gas. Lots of things give me stomach gas, unfortunately.

I used to take all sorts of prescriptions for GERD but got it mostly under control by diet changes as it seems that carbonated beverages, acids (alas, salsa), anything with corn (high fructose corn syrup especially), and sometimes coffee are my main triggers. I will not give up coffee.

Anywho, I was reading recently about fennel seed tea for stomach gas and bloating. I picked some up today to give it a try and thought I would see if anyone else here has used it.

I don't know about fennel tea, Mark.
But I sure hope you find some relief.

I have a hiatal hernia which creates the same problems. Taking care to eat small portions and not before bed help me. Best of luck!
