New Holland The Poet - I've been picking these up quiet often lately. I mix in a few other stouts but this one seems to be getting poured more than others.

[not my photo but that is the same glass I drink mine out of as well]

I recently heard of Founders CBS, Canadian Breakfast Stout. KBS that's further aged in barrels used to age maple syrup. Friends of mine tried it recently. Said it was life changing.

I'd have to say Oddjob was my favorite stout porter. A real killer.

Yeah, KBS is all the rave seems like. I've had it. Cannot say I'm a fan. But I don't really like any bourbon finished beers. I think the 2 are perfect on their own.

Local watering hole is tapping a keg of Southern Tier Warlock on October 9th. Looks like I have a date after work that night.

Life changing is a great way to describe it. That one is very high up on my list of best beers I've ever tried, only had a few opportunities but I never turn one down

To add to this list, my favorite regular production "no frills" porter is Port City Porter, it's a local brewery from Alexandria VA and it is awesome. They just won best small brewing company at GABF last weekend. If you can find it pick it up
