Tough call late to put the Hawks short. I may have been biased, but I don't think you make that.

That said, awesome game and Kane almost railed it with :01...gamer! Fun, but they have to figure out this video feed for the Winter Classic. It's almost a disservice for the NHL.

Hockey doesn't translate well on TV anyway, but the feed is terrible. Any non hockey fan, just dumping into the game as a NYD game, "I'm going to watch hockey" gets a terrible offering. As a HUGE FAN, I can't follow it great. It's terrible. Meh...?

Agree with yoiu about the feed, E.J., I'll watch 75+ Hawks regular season games on TV, and that will easily be the worst to watch.

Lots of people saying Denver would be a great locale, Don. I'd have to agree. Just watch out for that smoke cloud outside the stadium.

Hopefully the cloud won't look like the 420 rally last year

If a game is played here, knowing how wacky the weather is, the temp. will probably be 70 or so .

Leafs took a solid beating from the Jets. Big Buff was on serious form - seemed he had a magnetic stick and metal puck. Chiarot also hit a monster from the blue line that went bar and in. Pretty goal - nice for an AHL fill in!

Hawks came back from 4 1-goal deficits to beat Dallas 5-4 in OT. The battle between them, the Preds and the Blues in the Central has been epic, and I am betting it continues to be all the way until the Hawks beat them both in April.

I dropped him. Great game for him, E.J., but a pretty mediocre season so far.

For the Avs and Varly, though Varly has been banged up. Hoping for a little run.

Gonna need a medium run at least to see April hockey, Brother....Good luck to them (when they're not playing the Hawks).

No comment required. Perrault scored 4! Never seen anything like it in the NHL.

Loving David Pastrnak the Bruins' 18yr old prospect. The other night 2 shots on goal and 2 goals, tonight 2 more goals. Looks like the question of is he ready to play in the NHL is getting answered. He's still a little small but so are a lot of players, grabbed him in the fantasy league, hope he sticks with the team. Too bad he's not enough to overcome Rask's magnitude of suck.

Bruins need to decide if they will burn a year of Pastrnak's entry-level deal. I heard they are on the fence.

I do have Perrault in both my fantasy leagues....good night for me...oh, yeah, and him too.

33 players have scored 5 or more goals in a game in the NHL since 1974, Neil. Including 4 times each for Gretzky and Lemeiux. Perrault is off to a good start though.

Safeway supermarket offers a million dollar prize if a jets player scores 5 or more goals. The must have got worried when he had his fourth going into the third period!
