A carry on Ronson will undoubtably be confiscated. Torch lighters are prohibited in both carry on and checked baggage, but you at least have a chance in a checked bag that it gets through.
Unless your TSA agent is inept or otherwise pre-occupied enough to let your torch through, I'm not sure I'd want to fly on that plane. ![]()

Our Vegas trip went well and the lighter logistics were a non-issue. I spread around a handful of Jet Lites and other cheap torches amongst our different checked and carry-on bags and none were confiscated. On the way home I even tossed the Butane can we had purchased in my checked golf bag and, much to my surprise, it wasn't confiscated either. Of course my Deal Extreme order arrived the day I got back from the trip, but everything worked out well.
