Pineapple Express
This movie sucked. The worst Seth Rogen flick to date. This was 1.5 hours of my life I can never get back.

Pineapple Express
Stoner Dale Denton's (Seth Rogen) enjoyment of a rare strain of marijuana may prove fatal when he drops his roach in a panic after witnessing a murder. Upon learning that the fancy weed can be traced back to them, Dale and his dealer (James Franco) go on the lam, with a dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole) and crooked cop (Rosie Perez) hot on their heels. Cast: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez, Danny R. McBride Director: David Gordon Green Genres: Action Comedy, Buddy Film, Comedy, Stoner Comedy Runtime: 1 hr. 45 min Rating: R pervasive language, drug use, sexual references and violence -------------------------------------------------------------- I though it was pretty entertaining. I am a fan of just about anything Seth Rogen has done so far though. |

Re: Pineapple Express
I loved this movie. Laughed the entire time. But, for what it's worth, I couldn't make it even half way through Tropic Thunder - shut it off after 35 minutes. I've never done that before.

Okay, I am prepares to get flamed but I wholeheartedly agree with Mean D. I wasn't a big fan of Tropic Thunder either. Maybe I am just getting old and don't appreciate the youthful humor. NO that can't be it I do still love Mallrats

Re: Pineapple Express
I liked Tropic Thunder a lot, personally. I love Mallrats and all the Kevin Smith flicks.

^^^ Said it all right there. I kept wanting to like it and trying to think it was funny, but it just wasn't. As a matter of fact it sucked. Huge disappointment.

Re: Pineapple Express
I haven't seen it but I've heard you need to be stoned to appreciate it. Seeing as I haven't done that since undergrad I took this movie off the "to watch" list.

Re: Pineapple Express
Wow Big D! Tell me how you really feel about this movie!
I really liked this movie. Thought it was definitely over the top but still worth the watch. My 2 cents on Tropic Thunder was not very good. Just keep waiting for the humor and it was lost on me. But we all have different taste. |
