Pumpkin carving thread 2012
Every year since my son was born we've carved pumpkins together. Over the last few years we have tried to grow them with some success a few of those years. This year we tried to do some more sophisticated carvings and last night carved our first one. Anyone else do any pumpkins yet this year? If so, what did you do? Here's our first one, we have several to go.

Thank you, I enjoyed it, so did he. We bought a pumpkin carving kit, I'm not that artistic either

I stink at carving but my BIL does some really cool ones, these are from 1-2 years ago. Don't know what he has planned for this year

Re: Pumpkin carving thread 2012
We haven't bought ours for this year, but I think that's in the plans for this weekend. We typically let the kids paint one of their own (mini pumpkins), while I try to carve out something fun.
I haven't started looking for designs yet, but I might try to find something Mopar or Texans (NFL) themed. |

He tells the truth. I carved my first one with my wife 6 years ago.

Re: Pumpkin carving thread 2012
Some friends of mine had a pumpkin carving party the other night. For the amount of alchohol consumed, it is amazing that no one cut off a finger. Here are the results. Mine is the really crappy/happy one at the top of the stairs. I was way more interested in the Apple Pie shine we were drinking than carving. I think my buddy Ethan was going for Disco Ball pumpkin...but no one is really sure. That one happened a bit later in the evening. Blood alchohol levels were fairly high by that point.
