I'd have less of a problem with that brother, were it not for the fact that, were the SEC presently 6-0 instead of 3-3 in bowl games, the same people who are whining that their schools did not care about the game would be crowing as to how these results PROVE their dominance in college football.

You can have it one way, or the other, but not both.

I didn't like the weak SEG joke, unfortunate that the anagram could not make sense
if the sentence itself made any sense.

BUT, the quoted comment is VERY true. I have been in this thread long enough to know it.
At least for some folks.

I cringe at the SEC-SEC-SEC chants in games against non-aligned opponents, I cringe when it is USA-USA, too.
But I am just an LSU fan. I do not share the feelings that most do here about how the SEC is a crusher.
I DO think this in general, but not enough to fanatically state it at every oppo. This was not a good year
for people to be crowing about that.

Hated to see my Gators play such an undisciplined game. I will agree with Brad to a point, the way Florida played the Louisville game was the collection of all the worst segments we've played earlier in the season. The only difference was we couldn't find a way to win the Sugar Bowl, like we couldn't against Georgia. The other big difference was this was the first time our defense was so porous.

I also think that Muschamp was out coached by Charlie Strong; the onside kick to start off the 2nd half was idiotic. I'm still 100% sold on Muschamp but this was his fist big postseason game and I'm sure he'll learn from his mistakes. Remember the Saban coached 'Bama getting crushed by Utah several years ago??

As for my on the "not showing up/giving 100%/wanting to win" - these are young kids predisposed to discipline problems! Florida for the first time this season played selfish, talking way too much trash down a couple scores. Florida definitely suffered from a lack of motivation but that's the coach's job to ensure they do. Would Louisville be consistently better than Florida at a neutral field? No way but you only get one shot in sports and that's all that matters.

On to the next task at hand - ROLL TIDE!

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I've got to pull for the Catholics boys tonight. Charlie Weis killed any likeable quality I could ever find with ND years ago. I'm in first place in our office pool and if ND can win or not lose by more than 9, I get $375. If not, I've got 2nd wrapped up for $170.

I'd pay the $205 not to see ND win a Championship, Jamie.

I heard Notre Dame had a great defense, wonder why they didn't bring them to Miami with the rest of the team.

Also the ND coach seems to be a hell of a motivator, I don't know what's more inspirational "The team with the most mistakes will win." or "Maybe Alabama won't come back in the second half..."

RTR!!! All Of Notre Dames's Team Members & Coach Kelly Were Gracious In Defeat In The Post Game Coverage. Notre Dame Has A Great Team, But BAMA Was Obviously The Better Team Last Nite. I Also Liked Coach Kelly's Statement That They're Not At BAMA's Level, Yet, But They're Working Toward It.

Congratulations to the Bama football team, and you too, Greg. I wanted nothing more than
a football game last night, let the best team win. Obviously I didn't watch the game live,
but I really wanted to wake up to a sports radio spectrum full of shocked DJs explaining how
bama could lose such a big game. Instead I got to hear how completely they won it all.
CAREFUL with the trophy this time, please. It was funny the first time, but...

The performance enhancing drugs report that came out involving Ray Lewis has now expanded to another high-profile football team, with the Alabama Crimson Tide being accused of receiving banned substances prior to the 2012 BCS Championship game against LSU.

I FUDGING KNEW IT, lol. Those bastards HAD to be on SOMETHING!

FINALLY....

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/4-ala-f...18--ncaaf.html

Now I don't have to sit and listen to my buddy make these "STAIN ON THE SEC" and "character Run AMOK" points
and tell me that Bama doesn't sign THOSE kinds of players. I told him it was just a matter of time and
thank goodness it was. I feel bad for the kids that got bonked, but kids today are the same wherever you
go. Privileged athletes that get whisked through school and out of the principal's office because they can't
be treated like the regular kids that can't run a 4.3. EVERYONE recruits them, Cliff. And eventually, just like
I said, the lid is gonna come off at bama.

I am not gloating, just making the point that that's FOOTBALL, not Bama football or LSU football or
USC football. But before this story, I had to listen to Cliff tell me "don't give me 'I heards', gimme facts!"
There you go pal. OH, while I am sitting on my high horse, the way I hear the story, Bama took the funny
performance stuff before beating LSU at the Dome. And apparently LSU took em before beating the tide in
T-town. Now they were probably ALL taking them ALL the time, but I thought that was funny when I read it.
