I love this place! No one freaks out and says OMG!

The other day while rearranging my vino I noticed a little white mold on a couple of cigars in one box, didn't panic because of what I have learned here!

What a great place with great advice!

Im with everyone else, theyll be fine

I actually prefer the high 50's, low 60's. Been keeping my coolers there for years and have had no problems. There's an interesting interview somewhere with a rep from Hunter and Frankau where he explains he ages his cigars (long term) in the mid 50's and then brings them up a little higher before he smokes them. I'll see if I can find it.

Or...

Get beads. Spritz them once a week or so. Sell your hygrometers.

Use the time you save, smoking an extra cigar or two.

I had the same issue with my office humidor. When I purchased it, I just used a small amount of beads, and put distilled water in a bowl, etc. It never seemed to want to hold humidity, lid did not even seem to close that snug.

A month ago I purchased a few of the Boveda humidor seasoning packets (85% humidity), and put those in for a week. The humidor is working perfectly now, and the lid even closes tighter.

Just a thought.
