Default Your most valued/rare cigar is......?

I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of rare valuable cigars some people are holding onto for a rainy day.

Mine would be a FFP and a Tat Black both given to me by Eric,

Watcha hiding in your humi?

Trinidad fundadores. 97 IIRC.

But the last skull n bones mystery, and the current purchase of some daisy cutters rates up there. Along with my last 05 PLPC.

For me I have 3 sticks that I am sitting on for a special occasion. They were all given to me by friends here.

Oliva O (Red cloth band, given to me by Nickyteen)
Ashton ESG (given to me by Mr.B)
God of Fire (given to me by Mr.B)

And with allergy season kicking my a$$ right now I won't be touching any of them soon.

Aside from the Franks, Tenderloins & the B-Rex's I have it probably has to be the few clear havanas I have been gifted!

Some of which are older than me! And that's pretty old if you ask some of the BOTL here!

Most valued cigar? The one I just got done smoking. Because what's a cigar's value if you never enjoy it?

I have one FFP I'm saving from a period of much more adequate funds. I'll be smoking it soon as the wife and I get settled in good here on the mainland.

Most valued? You might not believe it, but it is a Gurkha in a glass tube. Why? It is the onloy cigar my Dad ever bought for me.

Rarest? Probably a Rafael Gonzales Vitola C.

A few Opus from 2005 when I started smoking along with some Toast Across America sticks. I also have a half box of some LE Monte Ds from 2005. Everything else is pretty run of the mill.

H Upmann Churchill from @ '92. I think it is a Monarcas vitola and it was a tubo.

We smuggled (did I just say that), I mean snuck a box out of Bahrain, UAE. One of my best buddies was my navigator on KC-135's and we stuck it in the "Secrets" bag. Back than we still carried all the codes for the Nuclear SIOP mission and nobody, I mean nobody could get in that bag but us. King of SIAM, POTUS, I don't care who you are (especially customs ) - you weren't getting in the secrets bag.

When we got back to the states my buddy was heading to pilot training. We went all the way to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force to get him a slot for pilot training. It took a lot of work but in the end we got him into pilot training and a year later at his graduation at the Officer's club he broke open the box. He didn't care who grabbed them but I watched many wasted by a bunch of drunk student pilots, their wives, and/or girlfriends.

He probably doesn't remembet but I saved two. Storage has been questionable over the last 20 years so I don't think they will smoke great, but that is not the point. He's a Colonel now and whenever he retires I'll be at the retirement ceremony and we'll find some time to burn them.

A lot more to the story and the friendship, but I hit the high points for brevity.

I like that Tom, some cigars transend themselves!

As for me, I do not have many cigars of monatary value yet but my wife bought me a Padron 40th Anni that has much centimental value. Only time she ever bought me a cigar related item. I have been fortunate enough to try several extremely valuable cigars however.

HA same here. My fiancé bought me several Padron Annys and they are just very special to me. I have sold off or given away 98% of my NCs but those are the only ones I've held onto.
