Default US Open

Holy smokes Rory McIlroy is making the Open setup at Congressional look like a local track.... Has 10 shots on the field(-13)....

13 under par is the lowest score at any point in the 111-year history of the tournament.

More random facts...

No player has been better than 9 under through two rounds of the U.S. Open and nobody has led by more than six at the halfway point.

He sure is playing well. I think his thought is that if he puts enough of a gap between him and the second place guy then he won't be able to blow it on Sunday!

Bad luck on 18 for him and Phil. But...I'd kill to shoot a double bogey on 18 and still end up with a 66 for the day!

2 day record for McIlroy at the open, gotta love that.

I'm pulling for him. He seems like a good kid. If he shoots in the 60s tomorrow it just might be over. It would take a big collapse and someone going real low to catch him.
By the way, why in the world did Bones keep letting Phil hit 2 iron yesterday? Did he play it today? If so, Bones needs his head checked.

I still think he's too young to win this. 2 more long days for him, let's not forget his meltdown at Augusta.
