Re: Looking for suggestions for a Christmas cigar
I'd skip the Anejo and Opus unless you want to fall asleep from boredom. You'd be better off with something simple like a Tat Havana VI or a Pepin My Father Le Bijou for 1/2 the price and superior flavors. Of course smoke what you like and like what you smoke.

Smoke something you know will not let you down. Normally, for special occasions, I smoke thing that I know will not let me down. I'm not going to go out and buy something fancy just to be let down. So I would say, smoke something you know is good.

Not sure where we'll be Erick, he lives in the Grove but we might be going elsewhere for lunch and stopping at a shop somewhere else.

Re: Looking for suggestions for a Christmas cigar
I fired up the Padron 46th a little eary, if you can find one, get one. It's is, without a doubt, one of the best cigars I have ever smoked, cuban or non-cuban.

The Padron 64 Anni is a good recommendation. JdN Antano 1970 is good too.

Re: Looking for suggestions for a Christmas cigar
I like both Nic puros and Dom puros. Different profiles, but both xlnt.
Can't go wrong with OpusX, God of Fire, Ashton VSG or ESG, or Hemingway maduro or LA Cien Anos. I like PAMs and Oliva MB3s most, among other Nic puros. Haven't tried too many Tats, etc. Can't keep up with ALL of the newer blends. I used to really like RP OWRs, but haven't kept up with them. I've been trying to decide on holiday smokes, too. Leaning towards LA Cien Anos, AF Anejo, or PAM. Different, but all xlnt! Chemyst

Re: Looking for suggestions for a Christmas cigar
So today was the day my buddy and I went to the cigar shop, I ended up walking out with a Padron No. 45 Maduro, an Anejo #50 Maduro, and an Opus X perfexion X.
We didn't get a chance to light any up, but I'm really looking forward to the day I get to smoke each of these sticks |

Remember to give the opus some rest time
Never tried a padron anni or anejo before. But I've only heard excellent things about them! Posted via Mobile Device |
