Default Well, I almost set myself on fire.

Yesterday, I was filling one of my tabletop lighters, when I accidentally pushed down on the ignition. The next thing I see is this huge fireball in front of me. I was a little freaked out for about two seconds. Anyone else had any "near death" experiences like this?

Not me, but youre the fourth person I know who almost went ablaze this week!

Al (ahc4353), Joey (ir13), and his brother Greg all almost got toasted.

Al set his shirt on fire grinding some metal while he was fuggin around on his blackberry

Joey and Greg were fugging around with butane near a lit flame... when WOOSH, it ignited.

I had something similar happen to me with a gas grill when I was in high school. I left the gas running a little too long before I sparked it up and boom. I was knocked back by the fireball and singed my eyebrows. Very scary experience.

I thought one day at work that my 2 co-workers were really mad at me when they started to 'beat' me.... they were putting out a fire on my flannel work shirt started by welding sparks.... I was enjoying the warmth.....

Had my 'fro set on fire as I was bending over by a guy trying to take a bong hit in the '70s. As close as it ever got for me.

I have done that While in Iraq. Funny thing though, I wasn't worried about my possible injuroes, but rather that I would look like the camp retard.

I lit my beard on fire when in college while trying to drink a flaming shot of tequila.

I went to start the bbq grill one time, and a buddy 'helped' by turning on the propane. I wasn't paying attention, and was subsequently surrounded by fire. I jumped in the swimming pool.
