Default Under the cap differences

Just curious.
Most cigars are trimmed before the cap is applied. Some are not. Obviously a torpedo doesn't get trimmed, nor does a chisel. I haven't noticed which ones trim or not, seems to be both ways on both on CCs and NCs. I mostly don't have my cutter in reach but I always have a knife. I like to just cut a circle in the cap and pick it off and have a nice trimmed end in there already. I don't like seeing branches and folded up leaf. Sometimes there is a dimple on the end that make me think it was machine rolled, I don't know.
What say y'all?

Dimple doesn't necessarily mean machine made. This is what I do when I roll my own, bring it to a flag, snip it off then apply the cap.
