Anyone in book publishing?
I am trying to get my book published. Anyone here working for a publishing company or know someone who does? I edited the Civil War letters of a surgeon. I sent out four manuscripts to dream publishers but two have come back as thanks but no thanks.

Re: Anyone in book publishing?
Ever thought of making it available as an e-book? As an instant downlaod after payment is received? I do that.

Re: Anyone in book publishing?
The book publishing industry is in a tailspin this week as giant Harcourt Houghton Mifflin announced a freeze on all new book acquisitions. I am looking to publish a book in a year or so and am pretty worried that no one will be taking new books, as it looks like all the major companies are going to do soon.

Do you have a link to more information? I really want to see my work in hardcover though.
