I went to Basic there back in 2006 and Airborne in 2007. Basic got down to the 30's during our final FTX and it was absolutely miserable. Airborne was in the summer so it was Cat5 the whole time. I hate GA but I'd like to visit Benning again just to satisfy my nostalgia. Who are you with?

Have fun and enjoy the smokes!

Never bothered to try that instant coffee. How is it?

Thinking back of the times I was in the field, coffee and a cigar sounds pretty damn good!

My worst memories of coffee in the field was "Ranger Coffee". One packet of instant, one packet of sugar, one packet of whitener. Dump them all into your mouth dry, wash it down with cold water.

There are times that I miss being in the Infantry...but coffee time isn't one of them.

Lost my lighter and cutter today, made me mad. I had to punch with my gerber and light with MRE matches. Oh well. Speaking of ranger coffee, today I made ranger pudding. One pudding mix, one packet instant coffee, and some sugar. Talk about a sugar high haha. Tomorrow is supposed to be my last day out here which is good because I only have an Oliva and Excalibur 1066 left.
