I met a couple cigar celebrities this weekend. PICS

Here's a pic of Shorty and I. I don't watch his show nor care for pitbulls, figured I'd get a pic with him though.

And a pic of Matt Booth and I. I didn't talk to him much, just asked for a picture. He was pretty cool though. Gave me a pair of the brass knuckle cigar cutters in a case that said Room 101 Cigars on it.

Looks like a great time. We had a cigar fest in KC last year and it is supposed to happen again this year but details are slow. It was a ton of fun and I am really looking forward to this years event.

We don't get many cigar events here in WA since you can't smoke inside. Unless it's at the casinos which are all located on Indian Reservations. Which you're allowed to smoke in. There's only one casino close to me that has an actual cigar lounge. They hold events every once awhile. They're holding a bigger event in October, so that'll be fun. Not sure if there will be any big names there though.

Luckily the weather was nice and the set up for the outside smoking area was perfect for smoking outside. They had some seating areas and tables and tents around.

I am lucky to have Outlaw Cigar here in KC and they throw a huge event once a month and have a bunch of other things going on. We have many B&M's in the area and of course XIKAR. I would just like to see more cigar community events involving multiple vendors and B&M's. It is good for the industry and good for cigar lovers.

That's awesome. If you ever have the opportunity to talk to Matt again he is a good guy to talk to. Very down to earth and a very humble guy to boot.

wasn't Pete Johnson and Pepin just at Outlaw this last weekend?

Yes and I got stuck out of town in Ottumwa, Iowa and didn't make it back in time to go. Disappointing.
