NEW YORK – Christie's auction house says it has reached an agreement with Elizabeth Taylor's family to sell her prized jewelry collection, as well as some of her art, clothing and other memorabilia.

Christie's says it is planning a series of auctions that will be announced later this spring.

Taylor died last month at age 79.

The screen star was known for her passion for opulent diamonds.

She published a book in 2003 entitled, "Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry," and her collection has included some of the world's most expensive stones

man, gotta get the book for this auction. So much of my Michael Jackson memorabilia would be great matched with stuff from Liz...

Only thing worse would be if they were setting it up while poor Liz was still is hospice...and I ain't convinced that they weren't.

I'd bet dollars to dogsh1t they were already stuffing her things in boxes the moment they knew they could get away with it.
Granted, Liz wasn't much of a human being, least from what I've read, but dayum, a little respect would go a long way.
I suppose they wanna get her stuff out there while it's still fresh in people's minds.
