Sooo, I think I am liking Pepin sticks....
I saved a Don Pepin Garcia from the newsletter that JaKaach (thanks again) sent me when I came here, it had an 08' label on it and it was very tasty, I see that the Tat line is also Pepin. So I have been looking at samplers and it looks like Cigar.com has some great Pepin samplers, is that the best or good place to get them? any other places? Thanks

Holts has some house blends by Pepin(Old Henry), as is their
Ashton San Cristobal line. The San Cristobals are favs of mine. Pepin has TONS of blends. Probably too many to list. Chemyst

Too many options.......I stick to and have multiple boxes of 601 Blues, DP JJ Blues, and Red & Brown Label Tats!

Yes, it is amazing how many blends/sticks can come from one manufacturer, it is confusing to me!!!

The Padillas on that list are no longer produced by Pepín. I tend to enjoy the blends that Pepín produces for others rather than the Pepín branded sticks. I have a multitude of 601, Tatuaje brown la els and quite enjoy the San Cristobál line.

I'd have to say the My Father Le Bijou line are my favorite Pepin smokes right now. The complexity and richness of these is unmatched in any of his other blends that I have tried.

Wow, I never realized the Pepin had his hands in so many blends. I've always used the Pepin cigagrs as my "goto" cigar if I didn't know what I was in the mood for. Looking at the list, a lot of them I have had not knowing and must say, have enjoyed every single one of them.
It all makes sense now!!!!

Quote:
That's an old-azz list... Pepin and Padilla parted ways about 3 years ago and there are others that he has taken on or created since that are not listed, Nestor Miranda and Cubao for example. Also, I'm pretty sure that a number of the cigars listed for Miami had their production moved in their entirety to Nicaragua. |

Remo, if you like Pepin's, you have to try some of the blends made for CigarKing. Those are some of his earlier nc blending work and I personally think the Hirsh y Garcia is Pepin's best. Especially the Panatella!
